F Adulting | Stay Weird

Aug 10, 2018 | Life, Uncategorized

My bestie from college recently visited and inspired me not to be so serious all the time. Since we’re supposedly adults now, we both have to be serious in life, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing – sometimes you have to tighten up and be composed.

Most of the time you don’t, though… and I remembered I’m actually a dork inside. Like, really. My favorite college experience was being part of this quirky a cappella group that ran around in gold capes and flash mobbed people at random. I found a home and a family that prided itself on being weird, not cookie cutter, unexpected. That’s how I met Aaron.

We used to live together too, so we would practice our vocal and choreo parts together, critique vocal divas, replicate their runs, watch Glee, do homework, and sometimes toot openly.

It has been a few years since we left Cal but it looks like we can still be extra and weird together. I actually adore these photos. I love to make stupid faces. It’s boring to be serious and cute all the time.

Here I am showing Aaron how to do my favorite squat pose which is very extra but fun.

Who is she????????

This is perfect. The photos, the story, all amazing. And it’s true, our true friends really help us relax a lot.
